You can change this setting in your monitor’s menu.

(ii) Low power mode: If you are using a laptop, your monitor might sleep because of the low power mode. Some laptops will go into a low-power state, and the low battery disables the monitor. How to Fix Monitor Going to Sleep?

There are two methods you can try to fix the monitor that keeps going to sleep. Let’s have a look:

Method 01: Check Your Power Options.

There might be a problem with the power options on your computer. In this method, you will need to check these settings and change them according to your needs. Here is how it’s done:

Step 01: Check if Hibernation is turned on.

First of all, open a search box or click on the Start menu and search for Power Options. Then select it.

Step 02: In the window that pops up, select Choose what the power buttons do.

You will see a list of options on the right-hand side in this step. First, look for Hibernation and ensure that it is not turned on. If it is, turn it off and click on Save Changes.

Step 03: Change your monitor’s power settings.

Now, go back to the Power Options window and select Change plan settings.

Step 04: Select your active power plan and click on Change advanced power settings.

In this step, you will see a list of options. Scroll down until you see Display and then expand it. Under Display, look for the setting that says Turn off the monitor after and set it to Never. Next, click on OK and then Save Changes.

Monitor Going To Sleep

Method 02: Use the Registry Editor.

If the power options don’t work, you can fix the monitor keeps going to sleep problem by using the Registry Editor. This is a more advanced method and should only be used if you are comfortable editing the Registry. Here’s how it’s done:

Step 01: Open the Registry Editor.

Press Windows Key + R on your keyboard and type “Reg edit” into the opening box to open the Registry. Click OK or press Enter to open the registry editor.

Step 02: Find and delete a key from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop.

In this step, you will need to delete a key related to the monitor. To do this, look for a space on the right-hand side of the window and type Control Panel. Now press Enter or click on it.

Under the Control Panel, look for Desktop. For example, it might be under Cursors, Desktop Themes, or Personalization.

Right-click on Desktop and select Delete. A warning window will pop up. Click on Yes to delete the key.

Step 03: Restart your computer.

Once you have deleted the key, restart your computer and see if the monitor keeps going to sleep. If it is, great! If not, you can try Method 01 or Method 03 from the list above.
