Boost PUBG FPS

To help you achieve this, we noted down all the steps on how to improve fps in PUBG.

Step 1 of 4: Change and Adjust Power Option

To conserve battery, our computers’ power plans are always set to Balanced or Power saver. Which severely limits the graphics card and CPU’s operating ability.

How To Boost PUBG FPS

This also limits down your FPS. To boost FPS, change the options mentioned below,

  1. Press the Windows logo key and R simultaneously on your keyboard. Then copy and paste powercfg.cpl into the box and hit Enter.
  2. A screen will pop up. From there click on the “High-performance” option situated at the bottom.

The advanced graphics features on your computer can also degrade device performance. To adjust the settings, follow this:

  1. Type advanced in the top-right corner of the window. And press View advanced device settings.
  2. From the advanced section, click on settings.
  3. From there under visual effects, click on “Adjust for best performance”. Then click on “Apply” and then “OK”

Step 2 of 4: Delete Unused Files

Deleting temporary files is a great method for PUBG FPS boost. Such as prefetch, temp, etc. Deleting these files will neither harm the game’s functionality nor will you lose any data.

Delete Unused Files

Here’s how you can do it-

Prefetch-

  1. Press the Windows logo key and R at the same time on your keyboard. Then copy and paste prefetch into the box and press Enter.
  2. Delete all the files that appear on the screen.

Temp-

  1. Press the Windows logo key and R at the same time again. Then copy and paste temp into the box before pressing Enter.
  2. Delete all the files that appear on the screen.

%temp%-

  1. Press the Windows logo key and R simultaneously again. Then copy and paste %temp% into the box and press Enter.
  2. Delete all the files that appear on the screen.

You can save space and boost your FPS by deleting these files. Remember not to delete anything else out of these options. You don’t want to mistakenly delete any primary files.

Step 3 of 4: Adjust Display Scaling Settings

Another effective way to improve PUBG performance is by adjusting the display scaling settings of your device. This way you can increase your FPS to the best for PUBG.

Adjust Display Scaling Settings

Here’s how to do it. –

  1. Press the Windows logo key and E simultaneously on your keyboard. Then copy and paste “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PUBG\TslGame\Binaries\Win64” into the address bar and click on Enter.
  2. After that, find and right-click on “TslGame” and then click on “Properties.”
  3. Then choose Compatibility from the drop-down menu. Uncheck the box next to “Override high DPI scaling behavior” after that.. Press “Apply” and “OK”.
  4. Lastly, restart your game.

Update Graphics Drivers

Here’s how to do it-

  1. On your desktop, simultaneously press the “Windows” and “R” buttons. This will open the Run tab.
  2. Enter ‘devmgmt.msc’ into the search bar. Then press the OK button.
  3. On the system manager tab, go to Display adapters and select your PC’s graphics card.
  4. Then right-click on it and select the Update driver option from the drop-down menu.

And with that, you’re done. You should have an increased FPS now with improved performance.
